Middle Youghiogheny (Class II)
The ultimate family float trip is how most refer to the Middle Yough. Its calm and scenic Class I and II rapids are gentle enough for the young and enjoyable enough for the young at heart. Stemming from our success with the Family Focus Trips last year, we have now incorporated that format into all of our Middle Yough trips. A Fun Director will accompany each trip to entertain you and your family. A guide will not, however, be in every raft.
Your paddling adventure begins in Confluence, PA. By paddling the gentle waters in your four-man raft to Ohiopyle, you and your family will enjoy the unending beauty of the Middle Yough. Come and join our first class staff and create lasting memories you and your children can share for a lifetime. For the more experienced members of your family, upgrade to a smaller craft for an added flair.
Option I - Guide Escorted
Each rafting tour is escorted with experienced guides with a guide to guest ration determined by the State Park. They are not in each raft. This option lends itself to the more accomplished rafter who is familiar with the river and rafting techniques. During high-water conditions we will change our format to 8 man self-bailing rafts with a guide in each raft due to the faster pace of the current and the need to avoid certain channels.
Option II - Fully Guided
Enjoy the splendor of the Youghiogheny River with a knowledgeable guide in your raft. Perfect for first timers, families and youth groups. You will be part of a larger tour and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow explorers, however for just a small increase in the cost of the tour your guide can personalize the experience in a special way. Leave the hassles behind as your guide coaches you, every paddle stroke of the way. As a bonus your party will be assured to have the best self-bailing raft for the water level.

TRIP FACTS
Here are a few things that you should know about this river tour. |
- The tour is offered from April to October.
- The skill level of this tour is 1 on a scale of 1 to 4.
- You will experience class I and II rapids.
- 4 is the reccommended age of the rafter on this tour.
- Estimated rafting time is six hours. These do vary so please don't hold us to it.
- You will receive a deli style lunch at the river's edge.

Peddle and Paddle Package
Combine two of Ohiopyle's most popular activities with our pedal and paddle package. Begin in Ohiopyle for some easy peddling on
the nine-mile section of the Yough River Trail and end your biking trip at the put in for the Middle Yough River Trip. At this point
you will exchange your bike for your water craft and begin your float trip on the scenic section of the Middle Yough. Rates start as
low as $28.00 per day.

"Thank you for the postcard. I thought I would let you know that my family has enjoyed ourselves immensely with LHRT.
My husband and I grew up in Uniontown, and my parents brought me to OhioPyle all the time. However, my mother's fear of water
